Interested Swim Families

Thank you for your interest in swimming with Dynamo Swim Team. The Gold and Silver Groups are full.

We are still in the process of conducting open try-outs and interested families may bring their child in for an evaluation. Please check the calendar for the “New Swimmer Try-out” dates and times.

Current Members: If you have a swimmer in one of the lower-level practice groups, but have not yet registered, please email Lori Fantin as soon as possible.

Seeking New Meet Officials

DYNAMO SEASON KICK-OFF

TEAM MEETING AND REGISTRATION

September 19, 2010

1:00 – 3:00 PM

Room 217 at the JCC

Please respond to Julie Saar at (jsaar@columbus.rr.com) with the number attending by September 12th so that food and drink preparations can be made to accommodate everyone.

It is important that 1 parent from every family attend this meeting. Swimmers are welcome. This will be an opportunity to meet new swim families and obtain information about the up-coming season.

Ohio Swimming has posted the new 2011 Forms. The Registration Page of the website has been updated to include the current USA Swimming Athlete Application and Transfer Form. Please include the correct forms with your application.

Sectionals at Purdue University July 21-24

Three outstanding Dynamo swimmers qualified to attend the Sectional Meet at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Unfortunately, Olivia Shon (15), sustained an injury during warm-ups and has returned home to recover. Our thoughts are with Olivia and we wish her a speedy recovery.

Dmitry Dolgov (17), finished 4th in the 200 breast (2:23.48) achieving his first Senior National cut in that event. He placed 11th in the 200IM (2:11.24), 14th in the 200 back (2:10.30) and has 20th place finishes in the 100 back (1:00.10) and 100 breast (1:07.94).

Elizabeth Harty (15), competed in the 50 free (28.72), 100 free (1:00.86), 200 free (2:10.49), 100 fly (1:06.61), and placed 23rd at finals in the 200 fly (2:27.57).

Summer League Championships

The Dynamo members of the JCC Sharks fared well at the Summer League Championship Meet last night. In the 8 & under age group, the medley relay comprised of Tyler Owens-Terwilliger (back), Andronique Stepanian (breast), Jack Fantin (fly), and Edward Schleicher (free) placed 2nd. The same boys, placed 3rd in the freestyle relay.

In the individual events, Jack Fantin placed 1st in the 25 back, 2nd in the 25 breast and 2nd in the 25 free. Andronique Stepanian finished 4th in the 25 free and 5th in the 25 breast. Angelique Stepanian (13), placed 4th in the 15-18 division of the 100 fly.

Junior Olympic Meet Results

Congratulations to Hayley Elizondo (12) and Felicia Fantin (13) for their fast swims at the Junior Olympics at Miami University. Hayley placed 3rd in the 100M breast (1:22.24) and 7th in the 50M breast (39.22). Felicia placed 7th in both the 100M (1:21.80) and 200M (2:57.63) breast. We are proud of you!

Meet start time at 5:30 pm (or sooner if possible).

Additional Information: Per the meet invitation, we must supply at least one timer for each session of this meet. No concessions. Drinks will be sold by the BGSU Recreation Department. Kast-a-way will be up on Friday only.
